INTERNSHIPS
About Our Internships
Our internships are all part-time programs that give interns a taste of every aspect of the house of prayer. We focus on equipping our interns in a lifestyle of prayer through practical instruction, Bible-based curriculum, and time in our prayer room. Training like this in context of godly community allows interns a sweet season set apart to the Lord. Interns will be challenged in their walk with Christ and taught how to go deep in prayer, having both their Bibles and the person of Jesus opened up to them in a new way. Upon graduation, interns are given the option to join part or full-time missionary staff with The Prayer Room as well as guidance on how to go about support raising.
Our internships consist of approximately 20 hours per week in total commitment and last 16 weeks in the spring and fall semesters and are 15 weeks long during our summer semester. During the spring, summer, and fall semesters, we rotate between internships and our part-time training schools, so check the schedule to see when our next internship is running.
We Offer Four Internships:
Pulse
Pulse is a part-time young adult internship (18-35 years old) designed to fuel a vibrant heart for God by giving you an intentional season set apart for the Lord. This internship offers powerful Bible teachings, interactive group discussions, tools to grow in a life of prayer, and fellowship times with other interns and TPR community members. Additionally, interns sign up for two weekly prayer meetings (one all together and one of their own choice) which creates a unique environment to grow in relationship with other interns, TPR's community, and most importantly with the Holy Spirit.
Fire in the Night
Fire in the Night (FITN) is a part-time program for young adults (18-35 years old) designed to sow into your spiritual life as you forge new friendships and encounter the Lord in a fresh way. We believe this internship will help equip you to passionately live for Jesus. FITN is unique in that interns spend their prayer room hours all together on our Nightwatch sets (9 p.m.–1 a.m.). This program will be a powerful few months of equipping, relationship-building, and gaining the Lord's heart to be worshipped in the night. We invite you to serve the Lord with us in the night hours here at The Prayer Room Missions Base and be part of strengthening our Nightwatch during a semester of this program.
IMMERSE
Immerse is a part-time program for young adults (18-35 years old) designed to renew a vibrant heart for God by giving yourself a season set apart for the Lord to strengthen and refresh you as a believer. You will be challenged through powerful Bible teachings, surrounded by godly community, and be given the tools that you need to grow in a life of prayer. Interns are strengthened through weekly times of training, teaching, and relationship building. Immerse yourself into a life of prayer, authentic community, the Word of God, and a season set apart to know Him deeper.
Gatekeeper
Gatekeeper is our part-time internship that’s designed specifically for adults that are more established in life (ages 35 and up). We recognize that as people mature in age and life, responsibilities, needs, and priorities also change a bit. We created this internship with those thoughts in mind. While Gatekeepers still has all of the theology classes, benefits, and components of our other internships, it allows an environment that is better tailored for those in this season of life.
