House of Prayer Equipping

A Hub for House of Prayer Leaders

After holding daily corporate prayer meetings since September of 2005, our missions base has grown from just a handful of people in my living room into a thriving community with night and day prayer at its center. Our prayer room now runs 22 hours a day 7 days a week with live worship and is kept running by dozens of volunteers and about 40 staff. People come to our prayer room from churches all across our region and beyond. To say the least, things have grown!

We feel a strong calling to help equip other leaders of houses of prayer across the nation in their journey toward establishing and strengthening a culture of prayer in any way that we can. In an effort to accomplish this goal, we have developed many resources that fill a real need within the prayer movement. We aim to be a hub where prayer movement leaders can find encouragement, practical training and resources, as well as opportunities to interface with TPR in our various ministry offerings. We also desire to connect with houses of prayer and praying churches to learn what God is doing in our country related to prayer, building meaningful relationships and helping facilitate connection among HOP leaders in the movement. It is our hope that some of these resources will be useful to you as you seek to build the Lord's house in your local context. Even if none of these prove helpful, we are still very glad to be in relationship with you as fellow laborers in the prayer movement.

We want to do everything that we can to help build and strengthen His house of prayer so please let us know if there is anything that we can do to try and serve you, your team or your community.

Until He comes,

Brad Stroup

Director of The Prayer Room Missions Base

Every month, Brad goes out and does a Culture of Prayer Conference for a house of prayer or praying church. These sessions are focused on why the Lord wants night and day prayer, its source being the word of God, its history within the church, and the global prayer movement currently spanning the Earth. While he is in town, he also meets with the senior leader for several hours to discuss building strategies for their house, and also invests in their staff in a couple of meetings as well.

Additionally, we will send out a team of our staff to equip and strengthen a prayer community over a weekend; we call these Strike Teams. Our staff will coordinate with your leadership to figure out what is most helpful to you for one of these weekends. Some of the options for a Strike Team trip would be to come partner with your ministry for a 24-hour burn, to offer model training, or to equip your least capable people to start leading worship.

Each month Brad and Luke Fredenberg, another of our senior leaders, host an hour long Zoom call for leaders of houses of prayer and praying churches. The goal of the call is to equip leaders with the necessary tools and encouragement to continue to build in their local context. In addition to the equipping, there is always a time of Q&A where leaders can ask any questions they might have pertaining to leadership or building their prayer rooms.

RESOURCE CENTER

This resource center is a rich well for house of prayer leaders and praying church pastors. This portion of the site includes hundreds of helpful downloadable administrative documents, a wide variety of leader trainings, vision casting videos, and many other tools that you can use to equip you and your staff. Additionally, we’ve included links to other prayer movement resources outside of the ones that we’ve developed for you. Most of this content is free but we also have made a number of our 14-week Bible courses available for purchase. As best as we know, there is nothing else out there like this hub as far as a place for leaders of praying communities to access so many resources designed directly to equip and resource you to lead your prayer rooms.
