Forerunner Music Academy
“Sing joyfully to the Lord … it is fitting for the upright to praise him. … make music to him … . Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” (Ps. 33:1-3)
Forerunner Music Academy (FMA) is a part-time training school (14–15 hours per week) aimed at worship leaders, singers, and musicians. From the beginner musician to the more experienced worship leader, FMA exists for all those wanting to cultivate a passionate heart of worship. This school will cause your heart to grow deeper in love with Christ, help you increase in your skill level and excellence on the platform, as well as equip you with the tools you need to lead others into deeper encounter with His Spirit through anointed music.
The Bridegroom says to His bride in Song of Solomon 2:14, "Let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely." The Lord wants to hear your voice. He is longing for an army of worshipers to arise: those learning to sing the songs of the Lord, who are becoming skillful musicians and who are writing new songs that will usher in His presence and call a generation into lifestyles of devotion.

Who is FMA for?
Our music school is designed for the eager beginner as well as the intermediate music student longing to hone their skills. Because of the way that we are structuring this school, anyone who wants to grow in the area of worship regardless of their skill level is welcome. Our instructors are equipped in how to take a brand new music student, that is someone who has never picked up a guitar or never touched a keyboard before, from being totally uninstructed to playing their instrument by the end of the semester (practice required of course).

Intermediate music students will be placed in separate training classes from beginners. All students will serve on worship teams as the semester progresses to help you not only grow in your music skills but learn how to flow as a worship team.
Program Requirements:
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older (those under the age of 18 must have signed parent consent). Previous experience with instruments/vocals is not required for your acceptance into the program. The Prayer Room is a parachurch organization, not a local church. We are grateful to be in partnership with churches all across our region and we require that our FMA students attend their home church weekly. If you do not have a local church, we can help you find one that fits you, as we know many great ones in the area. An additional pastoral recommendation will be requested before admittance.
